A public ranking. You pay to stand above everyone who paid less.

How ranking works

Rank is the total paid for a link. Nothing else counts: no votes, no review.
Payments are whole US dollars, from $5, in steps of $5.
Every payment for the same link adds to its total. To move up, enter the same link again and pay the difference; you only pay what you add.
On equal totals, whoever reached that total first keeps the higher rank. So to pass someone, your total has to beat theirs.
Taking #1 costs $5 more than the current #1's total.
Ranks do not expire. You keep yours until someone pays more.

The top three are the Sponsors card: on every build page, in the feed and in the sidebar of the directory, and in the strip at the foot of the screen on phones.
Everyone who has paid is listed on the board at /sponsors, with their total.
Links carry rel="sponsored", as search engines require for paid links.

A product, tool or site you own or may represent.
Links are matched by address without the query string: example.com/?ref=x and example.com are the same listing, and tracking parameters are dropped.
Not allowed: sexual or adult content, scams, malware, gambling, chat or group invite links, and link shorteners.
Your listing's name and tagline are read from your page's title and description when you pay, so they are never mistyped. Change them on your site and pay again to refresh them.

Checkout is run by Stripe. Card details never reach this site.
A completed payment claims the rank. It shows on the board within two minutes.
Stripe emails you a receipt and an invoice.
Payments are final. Being outbid does not create a refund.
A listing that breaks these rules is taken down and its payments are refunded.
Clicks are counted by Google Analytics. Visitors who block analytics are not counted, so the real number is higher.
